Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.)
The National Law University, Tripura with the approval of its Academic Council has started Ph.D. programme from AY 2023-24. The Ph.D. program at NLUT is a rigorous research-based program designed for those aspiring to pursue academic, research, or high-level professional careers in law. The program emphasizes independent research, critical analysis, and contributions to legal scholarship. There has been significant focus on inter-disciplinary approach allowing for integration of various social sciences, technological and scientific concept. The University offers a stipend of Indian Rupees Twenty Thousand (INR 20,000/-) per month and accommodation in the hostel to its full-time Ph.D. scholars.
Duration: Minimum 3 years (may extend based on research requirements).

Admission Process: Based on an All-India level Entrance Test/NET/JRF and presentation of a research proposal.
